Dear college sisters, please pass this by if the subject matter bothers you. But I need to speak my truth.
Where are the intelligent, courageous, well spoken men speaking truth to power? Marie and Fiona make me proud.
I didn’t know it was possible, but I am feeling a new level of shame over Kurds and Syria and Russia (let’s not forget Russia).
Friend suggests “Malignant Narcissist” to describe the president. I’ve become particularly angry when I see the way his self focused actions cause harm, pain, even death to innocents who have done nothing to him.

| I couldn’t agree more. I was just saying to Dick that one huge problem that we face with Trump is that he has absolutely zero empathy or compassion. With the Kurds, as well as the refugees on our southern border, he gives orders that will annihilate them, and he could not care less. If they are not white, American men that will vote for him, they are worth nothing. That’s why he is bringing the troops back, and why he will not allow foreigners who are all “mostly bad” people to seek shelter in our country. I am truly ashamed of my country and the supposedly Christian voters who are amazingly still behind him.

As you well know, I’m no Trump fan, but my guess is that the so-called great negotiator/dealmaker got snookered by Erdogan, in that E probably phoned up and said, “look we’re going in on Thursday; either you get your boys out of there right now, or we’re going to kill all of them when we arrive. And Trump being Trump just couldn’t let that happen all in one day on his watch, as it would define him forever. In his mind, it was the only option to save his own skin for the short term because of course he has no military strategy or foreign policies or diplomatic channels or patience to fall back on in crises such as this. And, he’s such an egotist, he always figures that he’ll be able to talk his way out of any decision, good or bad, because the Republicans will back him no matter what.

| I agree with everyone. I am also particularly disgusted by Christian voters who are still Trump fans. How on earth could that be? There is nothing at all Christian-like about the man. Never have I been so disheartened and sad for our country. I’d like to post this on the website, but it’s a lot easier for people to speak out here.
