Thank An Alum Days

Thank you to everyone who has given so far! Not only is your gift going to support some of the programs listed below, but it will also help us beat Smith in our MHC-Smith reunion challenge.

If you haven’t given yet, there is still time! Any gift, no matter the amount, helps! If we can get 10 people to donate each week until the end of the month we will take back our lead!(www.mtholyoke.edu/giving)

Thank an Alum Days (April 9-10) is an opportunity to honor the alumnae donors who provide the critical support that gives MHC the freedom to think beyond the day-to-day cost of educating each student in order to create and refine the world-class education that is the hallmark of the MHC experience.

What alumnae support provides:

• MHC traditions, like convocation, M&Cs, and Mountain Day.
• Innovative programs and initiatives like the Lynk that prepare students to be leaders in their communities and put MHC on the map.
• Internships and research opportunities that prepare MHC students to face the future with confidence.
Learning outside the classroom through orientation programming, guest lecturers, Taboo dialogs, Weissman Center speakers, and the cultural houses.

Update: Score More for 2004!

2004 Challenge—Score more for ’04!

We set the bar incredibly high during the FebruMary challenge, getting 50 donors in just 24 hours. Imagine what we can do in a month!

With our 10th reunion next month,  thanks to the generosity of a classmate, we can raise an additional $2,004 for our class gift while also taking the lead in the MHC v. Smith challenge!

How? By working together!

Make your gift this month and a sister Lyon will add an additional $50 to our class gift, up to $2004.

IMPORTANT: Gifts of any size count. We need donors, the challenge will add the dollars. The only gift that is too small is no gift at all.

WHAT YOU CAN DO: Make your gift to The Mount Holyoke Fund today, and then ask a friend to make her gift! Let’s make a big difference for Mount Holyoke!

MHC vs. Smith Reunion Challenge

Two Great Colleges.
Two Powerful Legacies.
One Mission.

Women’s colleges change the world. We approach things boldly. And inspire each other along the way.

Now, in a philanthropic twist on a friendly rivalry, the Mount Holyoke College class of 2004 has challenged the class of 2004 from Smith to raise participation in annual giving—all for the great cause of women’s education.

Beginning on March 10, we’re challenged to come together to make gifts (of any amount!) to The Mount Holyoke Fund. The women’s college with the highest level of participation wins!

The prize? Bragging rights to a higher participation rate and a champagne toast paid for by the College at our Saturday dinner during Reunion!

The deadline to participate is Friday, May 16 at 9 p.m. South Hadley time—reunion weekend at both Mount Holyoke and Smith. Game on! Let’s show what can happen when women stand together to help other women. Thank you for making your gift now!

Visit our class Facebook page to see frequent updates.

Hang 10 Logo

Mark your calendars for our 10th reunion… May 16-18, 2014 (Reunion 1)

Our tenth Mount Holyoke College reunion the weekend of May 16-18, 2014 is fast approaching! We can’t wait to reconnect with everyone, celebrate our amazing time at Mount Holyoke, and most importantly, have fun!
In honor of our tenth reunion, we’re moving ahead with a “Hang Ten” theme! Our reunion committee and amazing volunteers (thank you, guys!) have been hard at work, committed to bringing you a weekend that is fun and affordable.
Your reunion chairs are Jen Pearsall (jpearsall@gmail.com) and Kristina Smith (kpueschel@gmail.com). You can shoot us a Facebook message (our page is www.Facebook.com/MHC2004) or connect with us via our website.
Key Reunion Information:
First, we have estimated the cost of attending reunion to be $315 per alum.
Here’s the breakdown:
Alum association fee: $125
Housing Friday night: $40
Housing Saturday night: $40
Class fees: $60
Saturday Mount Holyoke lunch: $15
Saturday class dinner: $35
We are very conscious of budget crunches and want to make attendance possible for everyone. If this cost is prohibitive to you, please email Jen. Our class has three scholarships available (confidential, of course!) that will cover 50% of the cost. If more than three requests are made, there will be a random drawing.
Second, we don’t want you guys to miss any info or emails regarding reunion. In order to avoid delays, update your email with the Alumnae Association’s email address (ais@mtholyoke.edu). And definitely make sure you like our class Facebook page for the most up-to-date class reunion info.
We hope to see you at Reunion this May 16-18. Let’s make this year’s reunion the best yet!
Cheers!
Your Awesome Reunion Committee
