Let’s celebrate Mary Lyon’s birthday with tea and cake at a picnic table in Ocean View Park in Santa Cruz. We will enjoy an Old Time Jam as well as great views of the historic Boardwalk and Monterey Bay (and adjacent to Jessie Street Marsh). The music ensemble consists of fiddles, mandolins, guitars, banjos–and our very own Anne Raphael ‘62 on the mountain dulcimer! We are hoping they take requests and will accompany us in singing “Happy Birthday” to Mary Lyon.

Bring your own tea and any desired snacks. The cake will be provided–so let us know to expect you. We will secure some tables for Mary Lyon’s birthday from 2 to 4 pm. (The jam group meets from 1 to 5 pm)

Parking can be found on neighborhood streets. The picnic tables are located along the San Lorenzo River with basic bathrooms and a nice playground.
