Handling Conflicts at Home and Work

How do you engage with conflict? In this webinar, expert Erin McCoy Alarcon ’98 will discuss conflict resolution and management strategies that can be used at home and work. Drawing upon her experience in the fields of law and mediation, Alarcon will share techniques that may be employed for everyday disagreements with spouses/partners, children and co-workers.

This event will include an oral and visual presentation about techniques for handling conflict, followed by Question and Answer time with the event presenter; poll questions will be included in the presentation. About the speaker:

Erin McCoy Alarcon is an attorney and mediator, practicing in eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She is passionate about guiding people through challenging conversations, and helping them find common ground and winning solutions. Her mediation practice focuses mainly on family, employment and organizational disputes. Erin lives with her husband and three children, two of whom are autistic. Erin is a fervent advocate for disability inclusion and rights, and serves on her town Disability Commission and the local Boys and Girls Club autism advisory panel.
