Getting Involved

There are many ways for each of us to get involved with our class, other alum groups, or the college.

  • Pay your class dues.

They’re due once every five years.  This period (until our 50th reunion in 2027), class dues are $100 by check or $105 via credit card/paypal. To learn whether you’ve paid or to pay your dues, go to the Dues page.

  • Volunteer to help with our 50th Reunion!

We need many volunteers to make our reunion a success.  Check out the  Class of 1977 50th-reunion page for more information.  Check back often as we get closer to our 50th in May 2027.

  • Organize a Mini-Reunion to connect with classmates!

We will be organizing many mini-reunions – some virtual, some in-person, before our 50th Reunion in May 2027.  Consider participating. …strike up conversations via Zoom, email or our class Facebook page.  Check out our Mini reunion page for more information.

  • Help with our class Zoom meetings.

Zoom meetings have been a great way for many of us to learn about new topics as well as catch up. We also want to hear about any ideas and suggestions for
topics. We are always looking for people to present or help out. If you are interested, please contact our President

  • Volunteer to work on a class committee.

Our Reunion, Nominating, and Communications Committees are always looking for members to help even if you have limited time to spare.  Talk to the appropriate committee chair to learn more or volunteer (see Class Officers page for who to contact).

  • Join the class board.

Elections occur at reunions, but there are often openings and other opportunities between reunions.  Learn more about each role on our Class Officers’ Responsibilities page. Connect with our nominating chair if you’re interested in joining the board or might know a classmate who would.

  • Help with Admissions.

Interview prospective students, represent MHC at high school college fairs, or chat with accepted students.  Use this link to contact the Admission Office.

  • Assist with fundraising.

Get involved with the development office.  Inspire/encourage classmates to financially support MHC and its current students, faculty, and staff. More on volunteer roles is available on the MHC Development Office’s Volunteer page.  Click on this link to get in touch with our Head Class Agents.

  • Join The Gates community.

The Gates  is Mount Holyoke’s virtual common space for career, community, and connection.

  • Share your expertise.

Present to alumnae, virtually or at a conference, about a professional or personal topic.  Career Development Center or call 413.538.3512.

  • Join a regional club or interest group.

Get involved with a regional club or interest Group hosted by the Alumnae Association.

  • Participate in the Alumnae Association’s Online Book Club.

Mount Holyoke Alumnae Online Book Club connects through a private forum to discuss the current book and network with each other. The book club chooses and reads one book every two months. Membership is completely free for alumnae.

Review more volunteer resources online at the Alumnae Association website for additional opportunities.
