This year Beth Johnson McGregor led a contingent from our class to celebrate The Ring and Rose ceremony with our Connecting Class 2019. This ceremony is a special event held in the spring semester to acknowledge the ‘half way mark’ of a students MHC career. Sophomores who ordered class rings receive them this night and the class celebrates each other with a semi-formal presentations and a desert reception. All Sophomores are invited to attend.
Attending from our class 1969 were Marilyn Coburn Kincaid, Ginna Holmes Moore, Sarah Hocker Cheeseman, Mary Ashman, Rona Heimoff Gregory, Ida Quackenbush Nystrom, Betsy Behrens Garland, and me. Marilyin and I and one member of the class of 2015 spoke to the group; several of us handed out roses.
We held a mini ‘Cafe ’69 back at Willits after the event, enjoying some good conversation. Several of us also took the opportunity to link up in person with our pen pals.
