July 1, 1920 – May 31, 1917 Iole Fiorillo Magri
On July 8, Linda Larkin ’67 and Flora Franconi attended the Memorial Mass for Mrs. Iole Magri at Our Lady of Good Councel, 230 E. 90th St. NY, NY. It was really lovely. The music was beautiful and her daughter,Pina Magri sang throughout the service. Iole would have been proud. Wow, 96 is amazing !

It is with great pride that I tell you that our Joan Biren will receive an honorary degree at the 2017 commencement and that she will lead the alumnae parade, wearing one of our 50th hats! (1967 is in same hat in yellow, with all best wishes.)
While I have known of this for a while, only recently is the news public: “…this year’s honorary degree recipients will be filmmaker Joan Biren ’66, whose work has brought unprecedented visibility to lesbian lives. . .” Now, the crazy glue off my lips, I can spread the word of our Joanie and the well-deserved award she will receive.
