Had a terrific post Christmas two weeks in Rome, Naples and Matera Italy with my two daughters who are my best travel companions. Since Terry died we have had Christmas trips to Hawaii, London, Egypt, (None), and now Italy. It was wonderful to be away and Italy was very comfortable with pretty much the same rules in place as NYC and Italians were cheerfully compliant. Mid March I’ll spend 10 days in Hawaii where my eldest son and family have lived for almost 20 years. I’ll see family, my granddaughter’s volleyball tournament and dear friends who retired to Hawaii years ago. Meanwhile, I’m serving as President of Citizens Committee for Children, stepping up to Chair in June. A wonderful advocacy organization for children and families that I’ve been involved with for over 20 years. Talk regularly with Susan Waller Cope and Emilie Foote Thomson. Expect to see Emilie in France next fall and hoping to meet up with Sue in the Southwest this summer. It’s been too long.
