Alumnae and their guests are invited to an evening at TheaterWorksin Hartford to see “Third,” Wendy Wasserstein’s (MHC ’71) last play, on Tuesday, November 3. Kate Levy, winner of the 2014 CT Critics Circle Award for outstanding actress, will play Dr. Laurie Jameson, a feminist college professor who accuses a student, Woodson Bull, III (called “Third”) of plagiarism.
Our special group rate of $45 includes: reserved seating for the 7:30 p.m. performance; a reception from 6-7:15 with finger food and an open bar; and parking in a lot directly behind the theater. You’re also invited to stay for “Talk Back Tuesday,” an insightful post-show discussion with members of the cast.To reserve your seat(s), call the TheaterWorks box office at 860-527-7838, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and mention that you’re part of the Mount Holyoke group on November 3. TheaterWorks doesn’t issue paper tickets; you just give your name at the door. If you’re a recent graduate from the Classes of 2011-15, the Mount Holyoke Alumnae Club of Hartford will reimburse you $15 on the evening of the performance. October Event with Robin McLean ’87
Join the Club on Thursday, October 1 at 6pm for another fun event! Author Robin McLean ’87 will be on hand to talk about her new book of short stories, Reptile House. Wine and cheese will be served! This event will take place at Annmarie Merritt ’87’s store in Manchester, The Silver Chest, located at 789 Main Street.

Last night, Bessy Reyna ’70 received the special Trajectory award at that Latino de Oro award for the work she has done with the newspaper Identidad Latina. Over the last 15 years, Reyna has written about Latino actors and writers in Connecticut, as well as the arts, and recently attended the International Festival in Granada, Nicaragua and presented workshops for a special unit of police women who work with victims pf domestic violence in Guatemala. Many congratulations to Bessy!

Mountain Day Hike Coming Up!
The Club will be hosting a Mountain Day hike (not the actual Mountain Day, because we don’t know that!) on Saturday, September 26 at 10am!
