We’re delighted to host the 2016 Three College (Mount Holyoke, Smith, and Wellesley) Luncheon and to welcome Dr. Dianna R. Wentzell ’86, Connecticut Commissioner of Education, as our keynote speaker.
Dr. Wentzell, an educator in Connecticut for more than 25 years, began her career as a social studies teacher. She was appointed as Commissioner of Education by Governor Dannel P. Malloy in April 2015, after serving as Interim Commissioner since January 2015. She has a bachelor’s degree in Russian Studies from Mount Holyoke, a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Hartford. She is also a former Fulbright Scholar, undertaking her study in Pakistan.
