My Greek family made this for me, and we all enjoyed the hand made egg noodles topped by the tasty sauce made from peppers, onions and tomatoes with the signature spices. Find a good greek wine to go with it and you are all set!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Greek Chicken with Handmade Pasta<\/h5>\n<p><em>Serves 6. Takes approx. 1 hour<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Ingredients:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>For the chicken:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2 onions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 red bell pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 green bell pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 yellow bell pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3 tomatoes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2 stick(s) cinnamon<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3 clove(s) of garlic<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 tablespoon(s) oregano, dry<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1\/3 bunch basil<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 teaspoon(s) granulated sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 1\/2 kilo chicken<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">4-5 tablespoon(s) olive oil<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For the noodles<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 1\/2 liter water<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">500 g hilopites (Greek pasta)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2-3 tablespoon(s) olive oil<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To serve<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1\/2 bunch parsley<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">50 g feta cheese<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Instructions:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>For the chicken<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Preheat oven over 180<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u03bf<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;C (355* F) Set to Fan.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Coarsely&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/akiseshop.com\/en\/taxonomies\/maxairia\"><b>cut<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;the onions, garlic, pepper and tomatoes. Place them in a&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/akiseshop.com\/en\/taxonomies\/tapsia\"><b>25&#215;32 cm baking pan<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Add salt, pepper, the cinnamon sticks, oregano, basil, sugar and mix.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/akispetretzikis.com\/en\/tips\/pws-kovoyme-se-merides-to-kotopoylo\"><b>Cut the chicken in 10 pieces<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;and add salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons olive oil.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Place the chicken over the vegetables and pour 2-3 tablespoons olive oil.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bake for 50-60 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Remove from heat and remove chicken. Set aside.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For the noodles<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Place a&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/akiseshop.com\/en\/taxonomies\/katsaroles-xytres\"><b>pot<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;over medium to high heat.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Add the water and vegetables with the sauce that is left in the pan.
