What\u2019s its backstory?&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<p>This is a very easy and pleasing recipe, ideal for small dinner parties as carving the duck might take some time. It looks and tastes good!!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Duck breast with Kumquat sauce<\/h5>\n<p><em>Serves: 3-4. Takes approx. 30 minutes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Ingredients:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two large duck breasts&nbsp;<br \/>\nChicken stock \u00bd cup &nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Good quality red wine \u00bd cup<\/li>\n<li>Honey \u2013 2 tablespoons<\/li>\n<li>Kumquats ( a good handful) &#8211;&nbsp; tangerine segments can be used if Kumquats are not available<\/li>\n<li>Fresh coriander \u2013 a handful<\/li>\n<li>Salt and pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Instructions:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Brown the duck breasts to drain the fat until golden brown on both sides. Set aside in a baking dish.<\/p>\n<p>Prepare equal volumes of chicken stock &amp; red wine \u2013 should be ca.1\/2 cup of liquid &#8211; &nbsp;add two tablespoons of honey and mix well.&nbsp; Pour the mixture around the duck breasts with brown skin upwards, arrange the kumquats cut in half around the breasts.
