Unfortunately, our 45th class reunion at Mount Holyoke as well as graduation and all of Reunion I and Reunion II appropriately were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.  

However, the Alumnae Association held the 148th Annual Classes meeting, on Zoom, on June 6th, 2020. They did a great job, starting the meeting with pictures of past Alumnae Parades with background music by the V8’s, followed by messages from Alumnae Association president Maria Mossaides and College president Sonya Stephens. Fundraising totals, alumnae and class awards were announced, some class histories were read (not ours) with the highlight being the Class of 1945 class history.  The meeting ended with a moving virtual alumnae laurel parade.  Organized on short notice, approximate 1000 MHC alumnae submitted recent photos which were then grouped by era, many were dressed in white and carried a sign of good wishes from their class to the class of 2020.  Here is the link to this moving slideshow: https://youtu.be/bbgsJJJXNI0

We then held a Class of ’75 Zoom gathering that afternoon.  We gathered and greeted, then honored our Alumnae Award winners , Kim Hunter, Susan Kare, Judy Stein and Lydia Young with the reading of their citations (click to read).  We then held our class meeting including a memorial for those who have passed since we last met, election results including approval of the revised Class Bylaws and dues of $50 and introduction of our new class leaders and plans for the next five years.  This is a copy of the memorial led by Joanne Brown: memorial 2020. 

As for fundraising…our 45th reunion goal was to raise $250,000 with 40% class participation by June 30th!  Our gifts to the Mindy Lewis ’75 Mount Holyoke Fund Scholarship also count toward the reunion giving goal.
