May 16, 2021 – Schedule PDF

Attached is a PDF of the 50th Reunion Schedule (click here  for the PDF), which can also be found on our class website (click here  or on the 50th Reunion Schedule sub menu above).

Because this PDF is downloaded from the website, some of the links will need to be entered into your internet browser rather than “clicking” on them.

If you are relatively new to Zoom, consider joining one of the two Zoom Orientation sessions for classmates on Friday, May 21 from 6 – 6:30 pm ET and Saturday, May 22 from 4:30 – 5 pm ET.  We also encourage you to download the most recent version of Zoom, which will allow you to move between breakout rooms and ensure you have the best virtual experience possible.

If you haven’t registered and wish to do so, please email me at carolcramermills@gmail.com , and I will ask the college to complete your registration.  Reunion is free. There are now 167 classmates registered.

If you’ve registered and you can’t find the password sent by the college to you, or if you have questions, please email me.

I look forward to seeing you on Zoom, May 21 – 23, 2021 for our 50th Reunion! Carol

February 1, 2021:
Reunion Registration, Class Book & Survey, Virtual Parade

Dear Classmates,
Our virtual reunion is less than three months away, and we hope everyone will join us for a terrific virtual experience. Here are some of the compelling reasons to come:

· Renew your bonds with Mount Holyoke. Explore virtual tours of campus like the Art museum, the Talcott Greenhouse and more.
· See classmates you have not seen since our last reunion or since college days.
· Experience alum driven activities such as Tai Chi, cooking demonstrations and more
· Connect with faculty and alums from other classes.

There will be a variety of virtual events to ensure there is something for everyone, but the most important part of Reunion is YOU. Contact a friend and make plans today! Visit alumnae.mtholyoke.edu/reunion for up-to-date reunion information. There you will be able to register online, send a classmate an ecard, check out the photos, see videos, and much more.

Virtual Parade
We will need you to send us a photo for our class virtual parade. Please wear white with a scarf or other item in our class color: yellow or goldenrod. Please send your photo to Lisa Dake Oberreuter, reunion co-chair, oberreuter.lisa@gmail.com by March 15, 2021.

January 21, 2021 – Survey and Book:

Dear Classmates,
We hope that the recent e-mail from the Remembering and Reflecting project has gotten you to think about our time at Mount Holyoke. As was done for the 45th reunion, we are asking you to provide information in order to compile a 50th Reunion Book. We anticipate that the book will be available in hard copy form as well as a password-protected file available on line.

We are requesting two types of input by March 1: 1) an online survey to glean insights about the class as a whole, which will be anonymous, and 2) a personal page that provides updates about your life.

The survey for our 45th reunion was largely focused on gathering statistical information. This one is more geared toward obtaining insight. Please look at this survey as an opportunity to reflect on your life at and since MHC. We suggest that you read through the survey questions, but not answer them immediately, giving yourself a few days to think about what you feel important to include. To make this easier, read the survey questions  before logging in to the survey. And please note that we do not expect every alum to answer every question. “Click here”   https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/197150thReunion to complete the on-line survey.

All responses to the survey will be anonymous and will be aggregated where possible. Quotes from specific comments may be included in the book, but the name of the responder will not be identified, since Survey Monkey disassociates names and responses. That said, if any of the survey questions triggers a memory or personal reflection that you wish to provide with your name attached, we encourage you to do so through the Remembering and Reflecting project.

Also see the blank page (as a Word document and in PDF form) suggesting the sort of information you may wish to share on your individual page in the book. You may either edit this page, or start from scratch. It will be possible to include more information by starting from scratch. The book will be printed in color this time, so keep this in mind when you include a photo. Please e-mail your page to Wendy Hagen Bauer at wbauer@wellesley.edu in either Word format or as a pdf, or send via postal mail to Wendy at 711 W. Glass Ave., Spokane WA 99205.

We thank you in advance for your time and assistance in preparing for our 50th, and very much hope that you will be able to join us, albeit virtually!

Wendy Hagen Bauer and Donna DiPaolo

December 9, 2020 – Virtual Reunion – Update:

As I write this to you from my home office, I am acutely aware that at this time in a normal year, those of you in reunion classes would already be well on your way to making plans to return to our beautiful campus. This year, nothing is normal. And with Reunion fast approaching, I am writing with an update on our plans for 2021.

We have made the difficult decision to hold Reunion 2021 virtually. We came to this decision after thoughtful discussion with the College, and closely following current — and anticipated — state and local restrictions.

Reunion 2021 will be held over the weekend of May 21-22, with all alums from the classes ending in 1s and 6s as well as the class of 2019 invited to participate. Celebrating Reunion over one weekend will allow us to focus on making a virtual Reunion a successful and engaging experience for all and will also allow alums who would not have been able to attend in person to join the celebration.

In the coming months you will receive more information from your class reunion committee about what is being planned for your Reunion. We will also update the Reunion website as we solidify plans and details.

We all look forward to a moment when we can celebrate in person the many achievements of our alums, as well as come together to renew friendships and to share memories and life experiences.
Sincerely,
Maria Mossaides ’73, P’04
President, Alumnae Association of Mount Holyoke College

Summer 2020 (Updated Letter)
Save the Date and Volunteer for our 50th Reunion: Thu May 20 thru Sun May 23, 2021
Dear Classmates:
COVID-19 has impacted all our lives. The entire Reunion Planning Group extends our hope that you and your loved ones are well. Many of us have reached out to or in turn been contacted by MHC friends. Some of us are impacted more directly and deeply than others, but know that you can reach out to any of us, as we are your sisters.
As we write this letter, the Reunion Planning Group does not know exactly what our class 50th Reunion will look like. Our hope is to be on campus. We are planning both on-campus and on-line ways to connect.
PLEASE SAVE THE DATES: May 20-23, 2021. As we can always use new ideas and help with the reunion planning, please do get in touch. Now is the time to connect with old friends so that you can catch up and reminisce, hopefully in the beautiful setting on campus.

Assuming we are able to attend our 50th Reunion on campus, the Alumnae Associate advises us that attending Reunion normally costs about $350; the pricing includes overnight accommodations for 3 nights in the dorm, meals, class booklet, and parade costume. Lower pricing will be available for those who come for fewer days. We encourage you to come on Thursday to take advantage of special joint events with the graduating seniors, and on Friday for a stimulating series of lectures and discussions organized by the College for all alumnae classes and tours of newly renovated buildings. Tours continue on Saturday afternoon. We plan to have informal Thursday and Friday evening activities in addition to the Saturday Celebration of our 50th Reunion.
          Warmest regards,
          Carol
