The Class of 1966 has been unbelievably welcoming in its hosting of mini reunions throughout the year and around the country. 2012 was a banner year for local gatherings and for groups which regularly meet every year or so – last year Terry Schmieder Roemig hosted a gang in Iowa and Gail Ogilvie graciously opened her exciting restaurant in Maine for a lunch of seafood delights followed by a tour of the Botanical Garden. Patty Perkins Andringa welcomed an overflow crowd to an event she co-hosted with Hannah Sistare, and Patsy Kreiner Perlman had a group from the New York metro area to her country house in the late summer.
San Francisco Micro-Mini Reunion:
On a one day San Francisco stop over, Carol managed to get together for lunch and an afternoon of walking and talking ….and talking and walking, with Pamela Danhof Benitez, Carol Riccardi, Lucille Sutton (‘67) and Ruthanne Lowe.
Cape Cod Mini Reunion:
Kathy Winslow Herzog, Ellie Rogers Johnson, Martha Nichols Olmstead, Sally Smead Kile, Priscilla Fisher Thut, Peggy Stitt Boehm, Flo Foster Arwade, Bonnie Crow Shek and Irene Sullivan (’67).
For Kathy Winslow Herzog the best part of the summer was hosting an August reunion at her Cape house with eight other Mount Holyoke friends. All nine of them had a really wonderful time together and celebrated their last evening together by dining out at the Chart Room in Cataumet.

What a delightful afternoon! We all enjoyed a wonderful gathering in Putnam Valley hosted by Patsy Kreiner Perlman at her beautiful home on Oscawana Lake. We shared food and hospitality with great companions and new acquaintances while wearing our Fabulous 50th caps.

Terry Schmieder Roemig hosted a mini reunion last week in Iowa. Attending were Judy Carroll Joy, Gracia Chin Barry, Libby Chambers Wright, Margaret Freeston Hennessey, Susan Rainey, Judy Barber Fredrick and Terry Schmieder Roemig. Classmates are wearing their hats proudly as they toured the Amana Colonies, where Terry lives. We had a great time, lots of laughs, lots of conversation and great eats.

We all enjoyed a wonderful gathering in Boothbay Harbor at a lunch hosted by Gail Ogilvie at her restaurant, Mine Oyster, and then we toured the Maine Botanical Gardens for several hours wearing our Fabulous 50th! hats. Next summer we may convene in Bristol on the next peninsula where Francie and Sherry live!
