Class Giving

Two Great Colleges.
Two Powerful Legacies.
One Mission.

Women’s colleges change the world. We approach things boldly. And inspire each other along the way.

Now, in a philanthropic twist on a friendly rivalry, the Mount Holyoke College class of 2004 has challenged the class of 2004 from Smith to raise participation in annual giving—all for the great cause of women’s education.

With our 10th reunion next month,  thanks to the generosity of a classmate, we can raise an additional $2,004 for our class gift while also taking the lead in the MHC v. Smith challenge!

How? By working together!

Make your gift this month and a sister Lyon will add an additional $50 to our class gift, up to $2004.

IMPORTANT: Gifts of any size count. We need donors, the challenge will add the dollars. The only gift that is too small is no gift at all.

WHAT YOU CAN DO: Make your gift to The Mount Holyoke Fund today, and then ask a friend to make her gift! Let’s make a big difference for Mount Holyoke!

The prize? Bragging rights to a higher participation rate and a champagne toast paid for by the College at our Saturday dinner during Reunion!

The deadline to participate is Friday, May 16 at 9 p.m. South Hadley time—reunion weekend at both Mount Holyoke and Smith. Game on! Let’s show what can happen when women stand together to help other women. Thank you for making your gift now!

Help us reach our goal by giving $20.04 (or more).

Someone once said our love for Mount Holyoke doesn’t keep the lights on. And that’s true, but our love for Mount Holyoke is what makes Mount Holyoke a special place. It is what brought us all to Mount Holyoke, what kept us there and what draws us back.

Our alumnae have always given back to Mount Holyoke. It is this spirit and tradition, and yes our love, which compels us as Mount Holyoke women to support the institution and the young women seeking the education, friendships, and life changing experiences that are Mount Holyoke.

All of us were supported by countless alumnae who shared this belief. None of us became who we are today on our own.

At our 5th reunion 41% of us gave a gift to Mount Holyoke to support the institution that supported us. In celebration of our 10th Reunion, we invite you to join us in continuing this tradition of supporting Mount Holyoke. Our goal is to double our 5th reunion giving with 82% participation. We did it in 2004 and we’re going to do it again.

Please join us today and make a gift of $20.04 in honor of the Class of 2004. The only gift that is too small is no gift at all.

We are honored by your continued and sustained generosity. With thanks, we invite you to view this video and remember Mount Holyoke.

Sincerely,

Anna and Sophia
