FRIDAY, MAY 18

7:30-9:30 am and 11:30 am-8 pm: Blanchard Café open. Receive a 10 percent discount when you show your Alumnae OneCard.

10–11 am: State-of-the-College Address by President Lynn Pasquerella ’80

ART BUILDING, GAMBLE AUDITORIUM

6-9 pm: Class of 1997 Pizza Party – MacGregor Hall – A class tradition! Pizza, beer, soft drinks and squeals of delights as we see old friends appear at the dorm. There will be activities for the little ones, a chance to make signs to cheer on the class of 1997!

9-11pm: Beer and Business Cards – Creighton Hall (aka The Hall of Jo-Jo) – Join the class of 2002 and 2007 in a cross-class social hour – a chance to mingle with other alumnae in classes close to us and to network professional connections. And your chance for a private tour of the NEW dorm!

9 pm: Reunion Registration Closes

SATURDAY, MAY 19: ALUMNAE DAY

7 am: Buffet Breakfast

8:00 am: Distribution of parade accessory – MacGregor Hall

8:15 am: Class of 1997 and guests leave MacGregor Hall – Griffins to proceed to parade line-up – guests and family to proceed to 1997 parade-viewing spot.

8:45 am: Parade Line-Up – Please begin lining up no later than 8:45 a.m., and don’t forget your white clothes! Parade will take place rain or shine—clear ponchos will be provided in case of rain. Marchers not wishing to walk in the rain may wait in Chapin Auditorium, where the Alumnae Association annual meeting will be redirected (from the Richard Glenn Gettell Amphitheater), if it rains.

ABBEY/BUCKLAND CIRCLE

9 am: Alumnae Parade – While the Springfield Kiltie Band plays, loyalty class members in antique cars will lead the parade, followed by alumnae classes, alumnae relatives, certificate and graduate students, and seniors carrying the laurel chain. Parade will be held rain or shine.

10:15–11:30 am: 140th Alumnae Association Annual Meeting – In celebration of 140 years of tradition and success, Mount Holyoke College alumnae, graduating seniors, and guests gather to honor the past and welcome the future.

11:30 am: Old-Fashioned Community Picnic

For alumnae, seniors, families, and guests – tickets required. Exceptions: The classes of 1932, 1937, and 1942 will have lunch at the Willits-Hallowell Center; 1962 will have lunch at its dorm headquarters.

SKINNER GREEN TENT

12:00 pm: Registration Closes – For assistance after noon, please see the receptionist in the Alumnae Association office.

2:30-4 pm: Class of 1997 hike up Mt. Holyoke with classmates and family – The park is a 10 minute drive from campus – we’ll meet at the Main Entrance – sign-up sheet will be available in the dorm. Meet at Skinner State Park to hike Mt. Holyoke for old time’s sake. Who’s to say we can’t have our own Mountain Day in May? We will pack some snacks but please come prepared with water and sun lotion for your family and appropriate walking gear. 5:30 pm: Class of 1997 – Class Photograph – Skinner Hall Steps

Please try to make this if you can, as it would be really sad if there were only a handful of us sitting Skinner steps! It is completely fine to bring kids and babies to sit-in on the picture – the more the merrier! We can all hope there will be some future MHC alums amongst the little ones!

6 – 7 pm: Class of 1997 Social Hour – MacGregor Hall

As a reward for sitting in on the Class Photo, delicious hors d’oeuvres and libations (both nonalcoholic and alcoholic) await you in the MacGregor living room and patio. Also, don’t miss out on our class Loyalty Awards which will be presented to 3 members of our class by Jane Zachary, the Executive Director of the Alumnae Association between 6-6:30pm.

7 – 8 pm: Class of 1997 Dinner – MacGregor Dining Room

8 – 8:30 pm: Class of 1997 Meeting – MacGregor Living Room

All members of the Class of 1997 are invited and encouraged to attend our class meeting. It’s an important time for us to catch up on all of our class business and to vote on our next slate of class officers!

9 pm-12 am: Class of 1997 Party – MacGregor Hall

Good times, old friends, great tunes – what more do we need to say? If you did not register for the Saturday night dinner there will be a $20 fee to attend the party.

10:30 pm: Senior Canoe Sing

10:30 am: Mount Holyoke College’s 175th Commencement

Tickets are required for amphitheater or fieldhouse seating and are limited to seniors and their families. Closed-circuit telecast to Hooker Auditorium (Clapp Hall) and Blanchard Café.

Please check out of your room and dorm by noon. Leave your registration wallet (including dorm access OneCard(s) and room key(s) with name/dorm identifier card) in the black key-return box at your dorm headquarters reception desk. Please check your registration wallet for any personal belongings before turning it in.
