Welcome to our new interactive website! It is just in its early stages but will continue to expand – but only if you help by contributing your comments, photos, youtube videos . . .
The biggest change you will probably notice is that emails are no longer stored on this site. Instead, there is a link to MHConnect. Clicking on that link will bring you to the Alumnae Association database, with information not only on our classmates but any alum. So if you haven’t created a log-in yet, why not do it now? Take a minute to update your information while you’re there.
And don’t forget – we’re also on Facebook. Look for MHC Class of 1972.
I’m Carol Zwick and I’m delighted to be the webmaster for our class. I’m still learning the format here, but I’m optimistic I’ll catch on quickly.
During the next four years I’m hoping to post frequently and hope that you will all visit here often. I feel fortunate to be able to share events, ideas and class news and am grateful to Diane Myers, our previous class webmaster for her help and encouragement.
Our magnificent 45th reunion is a memory and our 50th reunion is in what seems like the far, far future. Our class has just gathered together for a wonderful mini-reunion in Portland, Oregon and we’ll gather again in Portland, Maine next fall. Date is still to be determined.
I’m still working on adding photographs and a travel section. Alas, it’s more complicated than I expected.
Our 45th reunion is fast approaching (May 26 – May 28, 2017). The registration deadline is approaching even faster (April 15)! Click here to register online. Plans are well underway (click here for proposed schedule) and many of our classmates have already indicated they plan to be there. Hope you can add your name to the list! Just a reminder that the actual registration forms from the college will be mailed later in the spring, and they constitute the official registration.
Several committees have already been formed to make the reunion fun and successful. If you want to help out, please contact the appropriate committee chair.
In the interest of saving time and postage, we are trying to communicate as frequently as possible via email. Please help us reduce the number of missing email addresses! We would not utilize the address without first checking to be sure we had permission.
During the reunion we will be remembering our classmates who have passed away. The list as we know it can be found on the “In Memoriam” tab. If you know of anyone missing from this list, please let Mona or Ann or Diane know so that we may appropriately celebrate her life as a member of our class.
See you in May!
A recent article entitled Powered by Mount Holyoke is very timely; it is a good time to be promoting women and women’s education.
Last weekend many classmates gathered in Richmond, Virginia to enjoy the area and to renew acquaintances with old friends. Some photos have already come in (see the min-reunion tab).
Mona Gubow (our class president) received the following email from the local MHC Alumnae Club:
Dear Mona Gubow, President of the MHC Class of 1972,
Thank you for the warm invitation and warm welcoming to “A Conversation with Ed Peeples and Jim Hershman” at the “Omni Richmond”, this day of Sunday October 25, 2015 at 8:45am-10:30am. The Members of the MHC Richmond Informal Club thank you for this delightful and passionate opportunity to celebrate our local Civil Rights Activists of Richmond and Civil Rights Activism.
As always, it is a pleasure to have you and the class of 1972 in Richmond, Virginia.
Class of 1972, please enjoy your afternoon in Richmond, Virginia!
Dr. Santresda “Sandy” Johnson, President
MHC Richmond Informal Alumnae Club

Thanks to Joan Ehrlich Kerby for posting this on our Facebook page. Mount Holyoke is included in the list of the world’s most beautiful colleges (as printed in the Huffington Post UK).
