Welcome to your new web site. We have tried to make it as easy as possible for you to quickly build a dynamic presence on the Internet by creating numerous sample pages, suggesting possible content and providing links back to the Alumnae Association and Mount Holyoke College web sites.
NOTE: This is a note for new club/class web volunteers. Please delete before going live with your new web site.
WordPress is one of the most popular applications on the Internet for creating a web site or blog. Ease of use is one of its hallmarks, however, it can still be overwhelming. Just take it one step at a time and eventually all the pieces will fall into place. Some common pages for classes have been created in advance for you. If this is a club web site, you can drop the pages you do not want.
For those of you new to WordPress, please review the over 30 step-by-step videos and instructions that explain the most common tasks for editing and building your website.
The most commonly used and requested plugins have been activated, but if you want more options or features you can activate additional plugins. For example, if you find the editor lacking some options like tables, you can enable the TinyMCE Advanced plugin to customize the editor.
There are many themes available to you to further customize your web site. You can browse all oft he available themes and preview theme within the Appearance>Themes menu or on the main Alumnae Classes & Clubs website.
If there is a plugin or theme you would like to have but do not see, please let us know via the Contact form on the Alumnae Classes & Clubs website and we will try our best to accommodate you. All themes and plugins need to be reviewed for compatibility before they are added to the site.
If you have a question, please read the FAQ page first. If you cannot find an answer there, you may submit your question via a Support Ticket (see the Support menu on the Administration page) or use the Contact form on the Alumnae Classes & Clubs web site.
