It is with regret that I share a notice of the death of our classmate Marlane Chill Dove on July 3, 2017, which Ida just passed on. Marlane is survived by her husband of 43 years, Luke, and their son, Christopher. Notes can be sent to Luke at 4140 Sandridge Dr., Jackson, MS 39211-6550.

I attended Women’s Christian College (WCC) in India as a 1967-68 exchange student from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. Eleanor Bird Light, a member of MHC’s Class of 1969, was at WCC at the same time. Tonight I learned that Eleanor died in 2006. If you have info pertaining to Elli, including her obituary, would you share with me? In tonight’s search, I discovered the Eleanor Bird Light Papers at MHC and that I am featured in some of Elli’s letters. I will contact the librarian tomorrow but hope that the Class of 1969 will assist me to read more about Elli and her world over the years.
